Fortnite Adidas Kicks Are Now Official

Developer Epic Games has launched another wave of Fortnite Kicks cosmetic footwear, this time coming from real-life shoe brand Adidas. Launched late in 2024, Fortnite Kicks provide a new category of cosmetic upgrades for players, appealing to sneaker enthusiasts and fashion fans alike.

Kicks represent a new expansion in the diversity of customization options available in Fortnite. While players have for years been able to don various skins based on original designs and, later, crossovers with popular pop-culture franchises, Kicks are the first time players have been able to purchase new shoes wearable by most character skins. As a result, Kicks are more akin to having a premium Fortnite Back Bling accessory, rather than a full skin that changes the entire look of a character.

Now Epic Games has added a new real-life brand to the Kicks lineup, expanding the existing Fortnite partnership with Adidas. As detailed in a new trailer, a total of three new Adidas Kicks pairs join the current Nike Kicks and original designs. All are based on real-life Adidas shoe models, and cost 800 V-Bucks each.

Adidas Fortnite Kicks Bring Three Real-Life Shoe Lines Into the Game

The Adidas Fortnite Kicks are based on the real-life Adidas Samba, Adidas Adizero Aruku, and Adidas Campus 00s sneaker models. The Samba and Campus 00s are street-style sneakers based on tennis and soccer shoes, while the Adizero Aruku is a 2000s-inspired trainer with a thick rocker sole based on the Adizero PR running shoe. They can be purchased in black, grey, and red colorways, respectively. Alongside the Adidas Kicks, the Fluffy Buns design was returned to the store, featuring a new style, for 600 V-Bucks.

Competitive vbucks top up: A Global Stage Fortnite’s competitive scene has grown significantly since the inaugural Fortnite World Cup in 2019. With millions of dollars in prize money and players from around the world, the tournament showcased the game’s potential as an esport. Events like FNCS (Fortnite Champion Series) continue to attract top-tier talent, providing a platform for players to demonstrate their skills and earn recognition.Challenges and Opportunities in Fortnite Esports While top up fortnite’s esports scene has seen success, it also faces challenges. The game’s constantly changing meta and reliance on RNG (random number generation) can make competitive play unpredictable. However, these same factors add an element of excitement and adaptability, testing players’ versatility. Epic Games’ commitment to supporting competitive play through regular events and substantial prize pools ensures that fortnite top up remains a prominent player in the esports arena.

Online reaction to the new wave of Fortnite Kicks was mixed. While some players and Adidas fans appreciated the appearance of their favorite shoe brand in the store, a few commenters also joked about using the Adidas Kicks with their Fortnite Nike crossover skins, as an act of brand-mixing silliness.

Much of the negative sentiment surrounding the new wave of Kicks, however, focused almost uniformly on pricing. Many players feel that, even if the designs are nice and reflective of real shoes, the price of Fortnite Kicks is still too high. With many of the branded Kicks costing about 800 V-Bucks, a single pair of virtual shoes can cost as much as some full-body skins. Despite their appeal, it looks like Epic may need to bring its pricing down further to attract more than hardcore sneaker enthusiasts to the Kicks section of the Item Store.
